"It is our goal to create a positive & fun-filled atmosphere where learning can take place for all children. Preschoolers learn at an
age-appropriate pace in an environment
that encourages positive feelings about oneself, others, and school."
St. Bernadette Preschool is open to all students
that are 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1.
There are four options available for our Preschool Program: 3 Day Half-Day, 3 Day Full Day, 5 Day Half-Day, 5 Day Full Day
#1 Priority
Our number one priority is to focus on
developing social skills through our daily interactions with others. Since
Preschool is the foundation of education, it is our job to lay the groundwork
for the best possible learning environment.
How do we provide a positive
learning environment?
Saint Bernadette Preschoolers will
know and learn about the importance of “Practicing Peace” daily. We promote
peace in solving problems, expressing ourselves through words, and being
respectful in our relationships with others. Children will learn to take turns,
share, use gentle hands and voices, accept and celebrate differences, and show
respect for others.
How does this
benefit the children?
Having these values and social skills
in place, children are provided with an environment that fosters all aspects of
learning. Since children learn best through hands-on experience, our curriculum
is play-based with many accompanying projects and activities.
Social Skills & Self Discovery We are dedicated to providing and
monitoring various types of sensory and hands-on activities to encourage
children to take responsibility for their own learning. Social skills,
self-help skills, religion, math, science, pre-reading and writing, motor
skills, and self-discovery are areas in which we will promote growth and
understanding that is relevant to each individual child.
Safe & Happy
Preschool should be a safe and happy environment where a child can feel ownership for his/her classroom and the decisions made within that classroom.
