100% of Our 8th Graders Accepted Into High School of Their Choice, Again!
Our 8th graders have received their letters, and, once again, 100% of St. Bernadette students were accepted to their high schools of choice.
Over 900 students tested at St. Ignatius, and they only accepted 360. Two St. Bernadette 8th graders, Ashley Robinson and Kyrah Washington, were among those accepted. Maggie McKeating received a $2000 scholarship to Marist for her excellent test scores!
The success of our eighth graders testifies to the excellent learning atmosphere of St. Bernadette! |

FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents,
I wish you a safe and restful summer.
Don’t forget to attend Mass on the weekends – whether it’s here or at your
favorite spot in Michigan or Wisconsin.
Your child's Summer
Reading projects are listed in the column to the left. Please make sure these projects are completed by the
start of school next year.
I would like to take this opportunity to
thank Ms. Kristin Avram, 5th grade teacher, for being a great,
creative teacher the past 31/2 years at St. Bernadette School. We wish her well
as she moves on to a position at Christ the King School. We would also like to
express our deep appreciation to Mrs. Julie Duffy-Poole, our Preschool teacher
for the past 2 years, for her dedication and creativity to our students. We
also wish Mrs. Sue Coons of our Extended Day Program the best, as she leaves us
to care for her new granddaughter as her own daughter returns to work. Mrs.
Coons has been with us for 10 years and has done an outstanding job with the
children in our Extended Day Program.
Plans for next year are already taking place. We are introducing a new Math program
that we will use for grades 4-8 next year. It is called ALEKS and each student
will use this program on their MacBook as part of their daily math. There are some students already trying it out this summer.
As always, thanks for your
support!
Mrs. Arlene Baumann
